when you are ready to do a final watercolor painting do you paint on watercolor paper or canvas?
I’m a little bit of a perfectionist so I have been sketching and painting and re-sketching and repainting… I finally believe that I am ready for the final, final product and don’t know if I should put it on watercolor paper or on a canvas! Help please!
Is it possible to remove a crease or fold from a watercolor painting?
The painting is on watercolor paper. The painting was folded in 3 places. One of the folds has cracked the paint but only when you bend it towards the fold. I was thinking I could wet the back and possibly iron it? Thanks in advance, Kelli

can i paint acrylic on watercolor paper?
I have some canvases but I don’t want to use them because they are sorta meant for specific paintings for my mother but I have plenty of watercolor paper… what happens if I painted on watercolor paper? Which media should I watch out for when mixing diff types of paper/canvas?

I’ve done some paintings using Oil Pastels on watercolor paper to lay down the main areas of color. Then I use Q-tips, dipped in turpentine, to "paint" … move the color around, blend, create washes, and fill in the tooth of the paper. It’s cheap, easy, and I’ve had some excellent results.
